My fine art child portrait session are geared towards children age 6 and up. This is because the child will have to take some direction in terms of posing etc. If you would like portraits of your toddlers or younger children, I recommend looking at my outdoor session information and galleries.
Some people are drawn to the fine art portraits, whilst others come for a more modern look or taking it a step further and do a fashion shoot for your child. Anything is possible! All you need to do is reach out and start planning your child’s session with me.
Together we carefully plan your child’s portrait session, so you end up with a beautiful gallery exactly the way you want it. The more we plan the shoot beforehand, the smoother the shoot will be.
There is no time limit to my child fine art portrait sessions, however, your child will have its own limit and I seek to work as efficiently as possible during the session in order to preserve your child’s energy and enthusiasm about the shoot.
Fine Art Portraits are a special genre of photography where each individual portraits is planned from from idea through the shooting and editing. Fine Art Portraits are often understood as quite styled portraits where the child is not smiling, but conveying a deeper message or meaning by usage of expression and props.
This type of shoot has to be very well though out and planned. If you like this style, then entire shoot will be styled like this as each individual portrait takes time and precision to exacted. Similarly outfits and props must be carefully planned.
These are fun shoots where your child can channel his/ hers inner modelling desire. We play with outfits, poses, lighting, background and have a lot of fun. As much as the shoot is planned, it is also full of impromptu ideas and setups that simply just come out because this is a creative process that will take us on both planned and unplanned journeys.
I always get carried away during these shoots, as one outfits will spark a new idea and often the child will unfold during the shoot and end up showing some amazing modelling abilities that we just have to try out with different background and different lighting.
As much as this shoot is planned it also has ample space for letting the imagination lose and take us on a fun portrait journey.
This shoot if for children who need a portfolio to show to child modelling agencies, if they are seeking to get jobs in the modelling industry. Please contact me with your requirements and we will plan your shoot according to those.
My favourite shoot, this type of shoot is appropriate for children age 10 and all the way through the teens.
I started this type of shoots because my 12 year old daughter was being bullied in school and I wanted to give her a fun, uplifting and feel good experience.
It starts with a cool hair do (makeup for teenagers) with a professional hair and makeup artist. We then proceed somewhere outdoor and do a series of styled, fashion and fun shots.
I cannot even explain how good my daughter felt after this shoot. She looked great and we had a lot of fun, and of course she ended up with a series of images to share on her WhatsApp and some portraits that I will treasure forever as a parent.

We can talk over the phone, if you have a girl, I encourage you to come to my studio, so you can also browse through my big selection of dresses. We will plan your shoot together. I will create exactly the style of pictures you like - all you have to do is tell me how you want it.
When you arrive at my studio we start with a chat to make your child comfortable with studio environment.

I will then take a series of pictures using various light setups and backgrounds. Through the shoot, I will gently guide your child through various poses whilst making him/her feel comfortable in front of the camera. I have four children myself, so interacting with children comes very natural to me. We will have fun and your child will never feel it is a ‘photo session.
Two weeks after your session, you will be invited back to my studio for your reveal session, to see your final gallery of 20 beautiful images.

This is when you choose which package and what wall art you would like. You are not obliged to buy anything, I do not hard sell! What you buy is entirely up to you. Having said that, I always do my best to create portraits that you will fall in love with and don’t want to be without.
All my sessions are tailor made to your need. You can bring whoever you like for your session and we will do exactly the style you like.
The session fee is $299 and covers the three main elements of your portrait session:
Meeting at my studio in Bukit Timah where we plan your session together.
Your portrait session at my studio. Included in your session is 1 hour professional hair and makeup for one person. Full usage of all outfits, dresses and props.
About two weeks after your session you are invited back to the studio for your in- person viewing and ordering session. Your final gallery consists of 20 images, beautifully printed and mounted for you to chose from. There is no hard sell, if you don't like them, you don't have to spend a cent.
