Christmas is about family, love and being together. So why not do this by creating some beautiful Christmas portraits of your dog and your family. 

Theresa is the only photographer in Singapore offering Christmas photo sessions for dogs and their families. It is totally up to you if you want the session just for your dog, or you want to be in the portraits yourself. Pease note – I do not recommend booking these sessions with small children, even if your dog lives with small children at home.

Each session is 45 minutes long. It won’t take this long to do the portraits, however, it is best to have plenty of time for your dog to get used to the studio and the new surroundings.

Outfits:

Your portrait shoot is about having fun.  The studio has a selection of dresses and outfits that you are welcome to use during your shoot. You are also recommended to bring your own outfits, as it is important you wear something that make you feel comfortable.

There is no limit to how many outfits you can do during your shoot. Have some fun, try on different things and see what you like. It is a fun process to wear different outfits and match them with various backgrounds in order to create a great variety of looks for your final gallery.

Posing:

Don’t worry if you are camera shy or haven’t done a photoshoot of yourself ever before! Theresa will gently guide you through every step and every pose.  These session are fun and relaxed, all you have to do is turn up and tell us how you want to be styled. The outcome is a series of eight beautiful portraits of you looking amazing.

It is that time of the year again. Christmas is almost around the corner. Well perhaps not quite, but my studio is already full with fake snow and Christmas trees, so I can almost hear the Jingle Bells.

I almost cancelled my popular Christmas sessions this year, due to COVID-19 rules. However, so many of my lovely and much appreciated Christmas clients have messaged me asking to do a shoot. I have therefore made space for a very limited amount of Christmas sessions.

This year they will run a bit differently, as I am only allowed to have 5 people visiting my studio a day. Hence the limited amount of slots available. As I am closing the studio for other shoots in this period, I am unable to add any more of these sessions. Once they are sold out they are sold out.

COVID- 19 notes – please read… !

Due to Singapore COVID rules I CAN ONLY ACCOMODATE 5 PEOPLE AT ONE TIME IN MY STUDIO. I am truly sorry for those who use to bring grandparents etc, but if you exceed more than 5 people in your group, then I cannot let you in. It also means that you cannot bring helpers to assist, if you are already a family of 5.

Please wear a mask the whole time except when you are being photographed.

Please note, once the session is booked online it cannot be changed or refunded. NO date change / no time change. (in case of Covid-19 rules change or actual illness, full refund is given)

If you are a family with four or more children, then please email me before booking. We will work something out for you.

Once you have booked your session, you will receive an email confirmation with all the details  of your session; address, what to bring how to get your images etc. Please see your email confirmation right after booking and let me know if you have any questions.

No outfit changes. You must arrive in the outfit you want your pictures taken in, and that will be the only outfit. I need to stick to the timeline, as other families will be waiting outside the house (due to Covid rules).

You can bring your dog. But please note that our cat Misty will appreciate prior notice if you bring your fur baby. So kindly let me know via mail if you bring your dog.

Outdoor photo sessions are very relaxed

An outdoor photo session is a great option for families with toddlers and fast-moving children.

This kind of session is totally stress-free. As we will be either on the beach or in the park, the kids can just run and play. I give very little direction and just follow the children for those perfect candid shots. Once they have lost a bit of their energy, I will get some close-up portraits of the child alone and some semi-posed family portraits. However, the essence of my outdoor family session is to have fun and to capture what family is all about: love, interaction and having fun.

Your final photo gallery is a wonderful colourful diverse gallery. There will be a mix of individual pictures of all members of your family, as well as pictures of the family together. Some will be portraits of you interacting and playing, others will be slightly more posed.

How does a outdoor photo session work?

We arrange your outdoor photo session together. You can pick any location in Singapore. Perhaps there is a place that has a very significant meaning to you. Or perhaps you just know a beautiful spot where you want your family photographed.

If you don’t know where you would like your session, then lets chat about it and I can suggest good places according to the scenery you would like in the background.

Your outdoor photo session will be scheduled for either early morning (start before 8am) or late afternoon (start around 5.30pm). These are the times where we get a beautiful soft light and it is not too hot for moving around outside. It is much more enjoyable to do a portrait session in the outdoor when the sun is not beating down at you.

There is not time limit to any of my portrait sessions. But rest assured, your kids have a time limit! This is why I aim to have a full gallery within one hour. We may stay longer if the children are up for it.

Non of us are born models. Theresa can pose anyone so they look their absolute best. She Theresa is trained in explaining how to do the best poses for every body shape. Simply just follow her instructions.  The outcome is a series beautiful portraits of you looking amazing. 

Your images

It takes around two weeks for your images to be ready. Theresa will select and edit a final gallery of 20 images. Once they are ready you will be invited back to the studio for your in-person viewing session.

You will see you final gallery on a TV screen and can then select which ones you would like to purchase as per the price list. It is totally up to you which images you would like to invest in and what format you would like them (digital, framed prints, canvases..). There is no hard sale,

Basically you chose which of the final images  you would like to purchase. It is all up to you, you only buy what you like. Having said that, most women fall in love with all of them.

Many people admit to me that they dreaded their session. The stress of making the kids ready, happy, smile… The stress of getting the grandparents to agree…. the stress of loosing a kg or two before the session….  Then when they leave they say ‘oh Theresa, this was actually fun and very relaxing’!

My family sessions are stress free! First of all I have seen it all. Nothing will chock me or stress me. I have four children under age 11, so I have seen my fair share of kids that don’t want to be photographed or won’t collaborate.

Besides I have my own measures in place to make the session pleasant for everyone:

• Professional hair and makeup is included for mum. Takes the stress of trying to look great before the session. Just come as you are and let my professional makeup artist get you ready.
• Family sessions have no time limit. There is no rush – ever!
• No extra cost for extra family members. You can even bring your dog.
• Free pre-session consultation where we plan the session together. This makes it easy on the day of the shoot as we know what to shoot for, and you know what to wear and bring.
• A limited studio wardrobe if you should need an extra outfit.

Treat your child for his or her own portrait session and let us create some memorable, timeless and stunning portraits of your child in exactly the style you would like.

My fine art child portrait session are geared towards children age 6 and up. This is because the child will have to take some direction in terms of posing etc. If you would like portraits of your toddlers or younger children, I recommend looking at my outdoor session information and galleries.

Some people are drawn to the fine art portraits, whilst others come for a more modern look or taking it a step further and do a fashion shoot for your child. Anything is possible! All you need to do is reach out and start planning your child’s session with me.

There is no time limit to my child fine art portrait sessions, however, your child will have its own limit and I seek to work as efficiently as possible during the session in order to preserve your child’s energy and enthusiasm about the shoot.

Children Fine Art Portraits

Fine Art Portraits are a special genre of photography where each individual portraits is planned from from idea through the shooting and editing. Fine Art Portraits are often understood as quite styled portraits where the child is not smiling, but conveying a deeper message or meaning by usage of expression and props.

This type of shoot has to be very well though out and planned. If you like this style, then entire shoot will be styled like this as each individual portrait takes time and precision to exacted. Similarly outfits and props must be carefully planned.

Children fashion shoots

These are fun shoots where your child can channel his/ hers inner modelling desire. We play with outfits, poses, lighting, background and have a lot of fun. As much as the shoot is planned, it is also full of impromptu ideas and setups that simply just come out because this is a creative process that will take us on both planned and unplanned journeys.

I always get carried away during these shoots, as one outfits will spark a new idea and often the child will unfold during the shoot and end up showing some amazing modelling abilities that we just have to try out with different background and different lighting.

As much as this shoot is planned it also has ample space for letting the imagination lose and take us on a fun portrait journey.

Children modelling agency portfolio

This shoot if for children who need a portfolio to show to child modelling agencies, if they are seeking to get jobs in the modelling industry. Please contact me with your requirements and we will plan your shoot according to those.

Children / Teenage outdoor ‘cool portraits’

My favourite shoot, this type of shoot is appropriate for children age 10 and all the way through the teens.

I started this type of shoots because my 12 year old daughter was being bullied in school and I wanted to give her a fun, uplifting and feel good experience.

It starts with a cool hair do (makeup for teenagers) with a professional hair and makeup artist. We then proceed somewhere outdoor and do a series of styled, fashion and fun shots.

I cannot even explain how good my daughter felt after this shoot. She looked great and we had a lot of fun, and of course she ended up with a series of images to share on her WhatsApp and some portraits that I will treasure forever as a parent.
